Sears / Kenmore Refrigerators are manufactured by Frigidaire, GE,
Maytag, Amana, and Whirlpool. Here is how to tell which manufacturer
made your refrigerator. The manufacturer is determined by the first three
numbers of your model number. Here is an example of your model number:
123.xxxxxxxxx. Notice the model number begins with a 3 number prefix
followed by a series of 5,6, or 7 more numbers. If your model number
begins with:
- 106 - your refrigerator was manufactured by Whirlpool
- 253 - your refrigerator was manufactured by Frigidaire
- 363 - your refrigerator was manufactured by GE
- 596 - your refrigerator was manufactured by Maytag
or Amana
You must know the brand of your refrigerator in order
to order the correct refrigerator water filter.
